Features of the DoorBird Module include:

  • 3 Series compatibility only.
  • Control onboard and outboard(via I/O Door Controller) relays.
  • View the Camera stream(H.264 or MJPEG) on a touchpanel, DM, DGE etc. Note: Camera supports one concurrent stream, please view the help file for further information.
  • Turn on the IR LED for nighttime illumination.
  • View current camera snapshot on touchpanels with a dynamic graphic object.
  • View 20 historical images from 20 previous events.
  • Ability to have the Door Station call a Crestron touchpanel that supports SIP in Peer to Peer Mode (“Rava”). See Knowledge Base for any known issues.
  • Ability to set the Speaker and Microphone Volume.
  • Supports for up to 18 doorbell buttons.
  • Support for 20 RFID tags.
  • Subscriptions for unsolicited feedback for Motion Sensor, Door Open, and Doorbell Button events.
  • Low cost module license per DoorBird and Crestron Processor combination.

The Modules are a free download, however this Module requires a Module Instance License that can be obtained here. Each DoorBird in a program requires a separate license in order to function. Licenses are tied to the Crestron processor and DoorBird combination. The module also offers a fully featured complimentary trial period of 30 minutes if no license has been purchased. Please see the help file for detailed instructions on how to activate the module and trial restrictions.

 V2.4 Update notes-

  • Resolved issue raised by DoorBird Engineering - multiple requests to live image url causing DoorBird performance issues. Added Live Image Proxy server. Processor now stores the live image on the processor in RAM. Touchpanels should retrieve the image from the processor instead of DoorBird.
  • Added automatic license validation retry for sites that experience power loss, and when power is restored, the module is running before the DoorBird is reachable causing authorization to fail. Module will retry up to five times, over five minutes.
  • Requires Database 200.

Please visit our Knowledge Base for any known issues and implementation tips.
